TSF in NashvilleSeptember 30th, 2008 This past week we spent some time in Nashville, exploring more business opportunities, but most importantly, taking a much needed photo shoot to update our overworked current pictures. We had a great time on this particular shoot, and we think we ended up with some decent shots. Hopefully you feel the same. Special thanks to Michealle Vanderpool and UAL for making us look acceptable, keeping in mind what they had to work with. Tonic Sol-fa Homer: Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It’s what separates us from the animals … except the weasel.
August 31st, 2008 Hey everybody, Just went down to check on the progression of our holiday concert set…..it’s gonna be cool! For those of you who have never seen our holiday show-the set alone will be worth the ticket, but possibly catching a glimpse of Mark in tights is the icing on the cake! For those of you out there that have seen our holiday show and have been e-mailing me and asking at shows….yes, Plastic Santa will make an appearance, yes, we’re sure you’ll see some tights, and yes, Jared will still look as goofy as ever…..seriously. Enjoy the rest of the summer and we hope to see you soon! Greg
Tonic Sol-fa on A Prairie Home CompanionAugust 31st, 2008 For those of you that have heard our recent performance on NPR’s “A Prairie Home Companion“, please note the songs we sang will be on our upcoming release entitled “One of Those Days”. A release date has yet to be set, but should be sometime between November and next June.
August 20th, 2008 We are in the midst of an August that, although busy, signals the end of summer to us. Wrapping up the month with state fairs and festivals, even hitting an a cappella festival in Utah, seems to propel us faster and faster towards Christmas. Now every time we drive by a lake and see skiers, I count the possible amount of days I have left on the water. Of course, I am also counting how many more Starbuck’s coffees Jared and I can win from Mark and Greg before our holiday tour starts. Last year, we had enough wins to last us through the tour and if you get a chance, you should ask Mark or Greg how their 500 game is progressing. Ever played? Very fun… if you win all of the time. And if you have a teammate like Jared, you will. Mark and Greg’s Christmas wish is most likely to never bet on a card game again.
Stampin’ Up performanceAugust 18th, 2008 Thanks to our new fans at Stampin’ Up which we met at convention in Salt Lake City. We had a great time and have seen a number of you since at our recent shows in the midwest. We’ve read quite a few of your blogs and email relating to our performance, and appreciate the kind words. We wish you continued success, and look forward to seeing many of you again in the near future.
Holiday Tour special guestsAugust 9th, 2008 This year’s special guest on our holiday tour will be none other than Lonestar’s former lead singer, Richie McDonald. He will join us for select dates, so check our calendar for details! In addition, Robert Robinson will be returning to join us for various dates as well, so make sure to get your tickets now!
