Tonic Sol Fa

Last episode of the vlog trilogy

We’ll wrap this little viewing train-wreck up with this final entry, and then move on to bigger and…comparable vlogs.

Take a moment to double-check your junk mail as well. Chances are you’ve got a bunch of Tonic Sol-fa mail you’ve been missing, and we wouldn’t want that to happen. There is so much news, upcoming concerts, and hilarity that you don’t want to miss!

Bye, bye Ford diesel rear-wheel drive.
Drove the 350 past 250(k) and the engine did die.
Four-old boys drinking liquor and wine singing,
“What’n tarnation we gonna drive?  What’n tarnation we gonna drive?”

Now the three men I admire the most, Jared, Greg and our gracious Host (Shaun),
we raised our glasses in a toast,
The day the diesel died,
and to our brand-new four-wheel drive, yes, our brand-new 5.7 liter V8 four-wheel drive!

At some point we will be in walkers with the funny tennis balls attached to the bottom roaming Deer Glen Acres, and I will miss these days.
Today one of our agents rebooked us at the Preble County Pork Festival in Eaton, Ohio, and it’s funny how many memories this particular show holds.  I must admit that when we were first scheduled for this performance many years ago, all of us wondered what we had gotten ourselves into… but then we met the people – the supportive, down to earth, storied people -  and it now seems like a mini-homecoming when we return.  And seriously, it is always a perfectly sunny fall day in Eaton… how is that even possible?
I must admit that Mark especially likes the fact that his hair smells like pork chops for weeks after we leave the show (perhaps the gel he uses traps in the smoke?).   Looking forward to going back… save me some short order.

New TV Project

2009 Toys for Tots campaign

For those of you who DVR your television viewing, or live outside the Twin Cities area, here is the PSA we did with KARE-11 for Toys for Tots this past year. Try and find the acappella group hiding in the video.

Check out these amazing Toys for Tots stats.

So, we’re a few months into 2010, and I’ve got to say, it’s looking good!  Lots of cool new shows coming in for this year – places we’ve never been – a new company vehicle that is made for the Minnesota winters, and we are nearly finished learning a bunch of new songs and are closer than we’ve ever been to finishing the recording of “We All Need Saving”…..looking good indeed!

I sincerely hope everyone had a nice Valentine’s day and that you and yours get to party it up on St. Patrick’s!  I myself will be in Vegas at the end of the month, so you know what that means!  That’s right, I will most likely gamble around $20, come back with $5, but have many great memories that I can never share!  Ah, fun.

Been watching the Olympics?  I have here and there.  I must admit, I’m not normally a huge fan of the winter olympics, but some of the events are mesmerizing…no Mark, I don’t mean Ice Dancing.  Those Snowboard Cross races are intense, and some of the downhill skiing and speed skating?  Nice.

Bye now.
