As many of you know Tonic Sol-fa had a CD Design Contest about 4 months ago. There were “A LOT” of great entries, some that I like a lot better than mine. At the time of thinking up my design(s) it would have been the very first time using the program I used to design the entries. By teaching myself how to use the program I was able to come up with a Grand Prize Winning entry. I was pretty shocked at the various replies I had gotten from not only family members and friends, but also the Tonic Sol-fa faithful. I was talking with my wife one night and told her that the design would actually make a pretty cool tattoo. And the next time we had any extra money I would get it tattooed on me. But that soon fizzled out. I went to the Iowa State Fair the very first day and saw Tonic Sol-fa perform with my wife and kids. After the show I was able to meet all four members, and Jared piped up and says “so, when are you getting the design tattooed on you?” I laughed and told him that it probably wouldn’t be for a while. I am almost certain they haven’t had a fan with as many tattoos as I have. The day after I met TSF, they tweeted me asking me if they set it up if I would get my design tattooed on me, I most certainly said yes, without a doubt in my mind. It was a complete shock. The date is set for October 27th . So in closing I have 4 words for TSF and the TSF faithful: BRING ON THE INK!!

First of all, I have to giggle at the image of Jared “piping up”.
Not sure why…just brings a smile to my face.
John, congrats again on the winning design, and now, on yet another tattoo! I know *you* will be okay. However, I’m a little worried about whichever TSF guy will also be getting inked. *-)
