Bonnaroo, WeFest, and SXSW
I never took off on a cross country tour to follow my favorite band from the Roxy to CBGB’s (and I should have before it closed). In the last few years I have been trying to see every act I can before they quit touring, because TSF had a chance to see Ray Charles and didn’t… I had a chance to see Johnny Cash and didn’t. So I’ve caught Tony Bennett, Alabama, Kenny Rogers (c’mon, he’s an icon!), etc. And now that summer is upon us, it is time to go outdoors to that rock, country, gospel, punk, alternative music festival with 30,000 people or the fair in the park with 200. I love performing at these events. I love seeing the menagerie of people as a spectator at these events. I’m not sure if it’s the sun and day in suspended animation or the mud and voices raised in giant chorus. But I hope to see you there.

When I was seven years old, Kenny Rogers waved at me at a fair concert…..okay, so he may have been waving at anyone in my general direction. I like to think he was waving at me. Anyway, it was my greatest celebrity encounter…well, until I met this goofy (yet extremely talented….personable….and, um, handsome….yep, handsome) acappella group from MN!

Much love and God Bless! (even though you drive me crazy with the not capitalizing your name thing!) xoxo
