Blog & News

One month later…

Amazingly, much has happened, but nothing has been written. Here are some highlights from August.

The new album is out, and there have been very limited complaints. Thanks to everyone who has already purchased a copy prior to the first snowfall (not saying much for those of us stationed in MN).

Our brakes went out prior to the Riceville, IA show. We ended up having to rent a truck and a passenger vehicle, which took forever. Needless to say, we arrived slightly late to the show, but luckily had plenty of farmers to help set up. That may have been the quickest setup and teardown in the history of music.

We had a large performance in Watertown, SD at the Redlin Arts Center. Of course, it rained, but it wasn’t as bad for us as it was for those sitting in the water. We gained many a new fan that day, but did not get to meet Larry Gatlin nor the Gatlin brothers. Does anyone know if they’re really brothers?

We flew out to PA for a corporate show, and we’d swear they intentionally move our seats closer together when sitting us side-by-side.

We played the Sioux Empire Fair for the first time, and this might be because of the fact that Greg is not welcome there. They liked the rest of us though.

We also played the Martin County Fair in Fairmont, MN for the first time (Minnesota’s other big fair).

Let’s not forget the cd release shows at the Kare-11 red barn studio at the state fair. That was impressive how many people that crammed in there, and not just for the free water.

Of course, opening for Weird Al in the grandstand, was… great! (you thought we were gonna say “weird”. Wrong.)

You might be saying to yourself, “They didn’t mention all the shows from August”, and to that we say, “Tired fingers!”

Lots of shows in September, so come out and see us before we move the whole operation indoors again.
